CROOKED AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I went to this place on Friday because my daughter said she had a great experience. Turned out that the woman who braided ...her hair (Luah) was out sick. I thought I would go ahead and get my hair done by the woman that was at the shop. I walked in and greeted her and she did not even say hello. She only said for me to take the first seat. That was a red flag that meant that I was to leave. This individual is Luah’s sister (Gift) who has no manners nor personality. I sat for a while before she began. Shame on me for dealing with unprofessional people. I ended up with bruises and folliculitis due to white bumps that developed in my scalp. I took the braids out a few hours after I went home. The following day I sent pictures of my scalp injuries to Luah and asked her to call me. Of course she tries to tell me how they ensure that the client is doing well. Her sister does not operate that way. While I was on the phone with Luah, we came to an agreement that she would give me half of my money back, which was $110. When I arrived at her shop , she tells me that she decided to give me $80. I told her that was not going to happen and she should be a woman of her word. She had the nerve to tell me what happened during my appt. She WAS NOT EVEN THERE. We start to go back and forth as I repeatedly told her that we had an agreement. Finally, a lady in the shop said” just do what was agreed on so she can leave”. Another red flag is that they only want to accept cash. Now we all know than any LEGITIMATE business will take different forms of payment. That is what one does when they are not forthright and working under the table. My daughter was happy with her service with Luah BEFORE these events happened to me and BEFORE her hair started coming loose. She had to fix the unraveling hair herself . She would NEVER contact Luah about her hair after learning how she operates. ONLY QUALIFIED PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASSISTING WITH THE BRAIDING PROCESS, NOT YOUR SIDE HELP!!! Please go to a reputable braiding salon who feels like personality and friendliness is important for a good business. BEWARE, STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!! Show more

DO NOT COME HERE!! The women that work here are crooked. My mom went in for a style, and her braids ended up being way too tight and painful, tight to... the point where bruising was left in her scalp. This did not happen until hours after the appointment. She reached out to tell her what happened, and she agreed to give her half the money back for the style, which was 110. However, when my mom went to the shop to get the money back, she suddenly only wanted to give her 80 back. This caused an issue, and after going back and forth and disrespecting both my mom and sister, she finally gave her back the amount that was originally agreed upon. The two women are sisters, one of them which has zero manners or personality. I went in for a service on Thursday, and was happy with my hair, mine was done by one of them. The sister that did my mom’s hair was not polite and did not check in with my mom during the style to ensure the style was not too tight. She didn’t speak to my mom during the appointment unless my mom said something first. They also seem to make a big deal about only wanting cash for the service. They are probably collecting money under the table. As a place of business method of payment should not matter. When I came on Thursday, I originally thought that this was a good place with good people. She was playing sermons and gospel music, and it felt like a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, these are the type of so-called Christians that people need to watch out for. This situation could’ve been avoided has she just been honest and gave my mom the amount that was agreed-upon but instead she chose to be greedy and try to get over on her. Ms. Moriah Corbin. We are so glad that you were happy with your hair and the service we rendered to you; so much so that you recommended our shop to your mom. We appreciate that. The style your mom wanted took about six hours to complete. Are you telling me within that six hours she did not notice that her braids were braided tight? I can assure you that every time we are braiding a customer's hair, we make it a habit to check in with them to see if they are ok; you attested to that yourself. Your mom reached out to me via text almost 12 hours after her hair was done and after she had already taken it down. You know you can not do that to a big corporation like Walmart, but yet it is a small business that is serving the local community that you chose to hurt. Nonetheless; I asked your mom how she would want me to fix the issue and from her response, I offered to give her 50% of what she paid for the service. We both agreed on that. When your mom came for the money, I tried to express to her in person how unfair it was to the stylist that she did not reach out to us to fix the hair or the portion that was tight before she could take it down. You are right, I tried to talk to your mom to reason with us for 80 dollars instead of the 110; which she said No to and she received the 110. This business is registered with the State, county, and city. There is nothing illegal about us. whenever you want service from us our doors are open. Good luck and God bless. Thanks: Luah
