I left the city eight years ago, and after returning from some far away lands where the crème de la crème reside, the only artist I entrusted with scu...lpting my character had also been carried off by the wind. After wandering the land, trying as many barbers and stylists as I could, I had only found one that came close to filling the void. However, due to extraneous forces, booking with them became difficult and my search began anew. Then I recalled that a familiar face had picked up the blade and decided to put them to the test — and goddamn, Ryan did not disappoint. Ryan not only did not disappoint, he is without a doubt the most masterful barber that I know of in this city. To preface, he is an old friend of mine, but I will never allow history to get in the way of the truth. Upon meeting, I ran him through my typical styles but this time was different — I not only needed something new but an image, that in itself, was a difficult balancing act. Now, listen closely because this is where Ryan differs from the rest. Unlike other barbers who needed copious amounts of direction or references, or the stylists who could see but couldn't execute, Ryan has a vision with the skills to match. He isn't just a barber, but truly an artist. A visionary one might say. As an artist myself, and one who works across a variety of contrasting genres, I was asking for something that felt impossible — and truthfully, I couldn't quite imagine what I needed. Within moments, Ryan not only had a solution but he executed it flawlessly. Sharp lines, an extremely tight fade with a perfect gradient, and a beautifully styled mess on top to bring the contrasting points together. Set aside the fun ambience, great conversation, and accessible location — the work itself is, without a doubt, the best I have ever recieved from this city. Whether you're looking for something extraordinary, or just need a simple idea brilliantly executed by someone who is masterful in their craft, Ryan Connor is the one. Show more
